Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang attends the ceremony marking the 20th founding anniversary of Viettel Global. |
From its first market in Cambodia in 2006, Viettel has expanded to 10 countries, building top telecom brands and maintaining strong, sustainable growth. Its international revenue has grown over 20% annually, 5-6 times higher than that of the global telecom average, reaching a record of about USD 3.3 billion in 2025, with seven out of 10 markets holding No.1 market share and remitting USD 350-400 million home each year.
Viettel’s modern infrastructure, wide coverage, and high-quality services have ensured resilient connectivity for tens of millions even in disasters and crises. Its digital ecosystems, platforms services and super apps have actively supported e-government, digital economy, and social stability in host countries.
In his speech, General Phan Van Giang praised Viettel Global’s outstanding achievements, highlighting its role in elevating Vietnam’s global standing, pioneering overseas investment, inspiring Vietnamese enterprises to go global, mastering technology, and effectively proving the combination of economic development with national defense and security. These achievements clearly reflect national aspiration, political responsibility, and the mettle of a military enterprise in the new era.
