On behalf of the Party and State leadership, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presents the First-Class Fatherland Protection Order to Viettel and the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB); and the Second-Class Fatherland Protection Order to Corps 18 and Vietnam Electricity.

Fifteen years ago, Viettel entered the field of research and production, boosting defense capabilities and becoming the nucleus of Vietnam’s high-tech defense industry complex. The group has made significant contributions to the modernization of the armed forces, helping to firmly defend national sovereignty on land, in the air, at sea and on islands, as well as in cyberspace.

To date, Viettel has mastered the production of multiple strategic assets, completing research and manufacturing of more than 50 types of high-tech weapons and equipment, which are now in service with units across the Ministry of National Defense, effectively supporting both training and combat readiness.

By showcasing the achievements gained after years of persistent research and development, Viettel seeks to affirm that Vietnamese people possess the intellect and capacity to master strategic weaponry and defend the nation early and from afar.

On behalf of Viettel in receiving this prestigious award, Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and General Director of Viettel, stressed, “On our journey of growth alongside the nation, Viettel is committed to fulfilling even better its role as a combat, work, and production force. We will remain Vietnam’s pioneering and core enterprise, worthy of the trust and expectations of the Party, State, Government, and the military. This is both a promise and a heartfelt command for more than 50,000 Viettel officers and employees worldwide, contributing to building a strong, prosperous, and enduring Vietnam. We look forward to continued support from the Party, State, Government, the Prime Minister, and central and local agencies so that Viettel may achieve even greater development in the future.”

At the exhibition of national achievements, titled “80-Year Journey of Independence – Freedom – Happiness” held in Hanoi, Viettel showcases more than 50 civil and military technology products, including long-range UAVs, self-propelled artillery, missile systems, and new radars, drawing large crowds of visitors.
