The ADC cable route has a submarine cable length of 9,800 kilometers with a capacity of over 140 Tbps. It uses the most modern transmission technology, which helps to connect countries in the Asia-Pacific region with a total initial investment of USD 290 million.
Along with other currently operating undersea fiber optic cables, the ADC cable route is expected to add 18Tbps to Viettel's total international connection capacity, contributing to providing high-speed internet connection from Vietnam to other countries.
The ADC cable route meets the requirements of deploying international internet connection applications that require high speed such as Internet of Things (IoT), automation, Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), and Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) as well as ensuring network safety and redundancy and quality of Viettel’s internet and other international connection services.

According to Deputy Director of Viettel Solutions Doan Dai Phong, the ADC undersea cable route will be officially put into commercial operation in 2023. The event helps affirm Viettel as a leading group in building and developing digital infrastructure in Vietnam, he added.
Viettel is known as the only Vietnamese corporation to invest in the ADC undersea fiber optic cable. Accordingly, the station in Quy Nhon city will also be the third undersea cable station that is exclusively owned by Viettel.
The ADC cable route is connecting countries in the Asia-Pacific region such as Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong (China), China, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand.
Up to now, Viettel has invested in submarine cable projects including AAE-1, TGN-IA, APG, AAG and ADC.
