Viettel's project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation at the end of this year |
Asia-Africa-Europe 1 (AAE-1) is a 23,000km international submarine cable system, which stretches across Asia, Africa and Europe. The system has many mainland stations worldwide such as Hong Kong (China), Singapore, France, among others. The cable costs US$ 820 million of 20 telecommunication companies from 18 countries in the world.
Viettel's project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation at the end of this year, contributing to significantly improving the group's international connection infrastructure and meeting its customers' requirements for broadband internet, as well as connecting several African countries, where the group has operations such as Tanzania and Burundi, to Europe.
This connection will ensure the group's international connection, the national information security, and maintain undisrupted connection between the country and the world.
