PANO - Song Thu Corporation on November 22nd laid the keel for the 4th DN2000 ship, the most modern multi-functional one for the Vietnam Coast Guard.
The ship with 90.5 meters in length and 14 meters in width and the capacity of 12,016 horsepower has the velocity of 21 nautical miles an hour and can tug distressed ships with the water displacement of up to 2,200 tons. The DN2000 ship can operate for 40 consecutive days within the distance of 5,000 nautical miles in extremely strong wind and waves.

Ship CSB-9004 launched |
The ship will be to patrol in the national blue waters to ensure national maritime sovereignty and conduct law enforcement and other missions.
The same day, Sông Thu Corporation also launched Coast Guard Ship CSB-9004, the rescue vessel capable of working for 30 consecutive days in any weather conditions.
On this occasion, Damen Corporation of the Netherlands presented the Vietnam Coast Guard with 4 high-voltage light panels and 4 modern water filters. Song Thu Corporation also presented gifts to Da Nang municipal People’s Committee.
