Currently, VDTC's system has a rate of regular customers of over 75%. |
Since its inception on December 29, 2020, the number of vehicles using non-stop toll cards that VDTC developed has been equal to the number of the entire Vietnam market during the previous 5 years.
As a result, the percentage of vehicles with automatic toll cards in Vietnam has increased from 25% to nearly 50%. According to statistics released by the portal of the Vietnam Register, as of August 2021, there were more than 4.4 million automobiles in circulation.
With ePass, transaction processing time is reduced by three times, from 0.6 second to 0.2 second. Moreover, ePass helps drivers go through toll booths about 60 times faster than the stop-to-pay method, thus reducing traffic jams on highways.
Currently, VDTC's system has a rate of regular customers of over 75%. At stations providing services, deployed by VDTC, the rate of customers switching to non-stop toll collection system has reached more than 50%.
According to VDTC General Director Bui Trinh, in the future, together with continuing to promote the universalization of the non-stop toll collection service, the company wants to build a smart traffic ecosystem to better serve the people, the country and national economic development. “VDTC targets to expand services by promoting and deploying smart traffic projects on highways, at parking lots, ports, and airports. It will be a new challenge for us,” Trinh said.
