Military enterprises target further cooperation to step into global supply chain

This was an occasion for military businesses to share experience, connect with the world’s leading enterprises in innovation and advanced technology. Meanwhile, it also created more opportunities for businesses to boost comprehensive cooperation, and promote comprehensive partnership to update innovation trends and take advantage of Vietnam’s potentials.

Concluding the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San affirmed that in the coming time, Vietnam will still be considered an attractive destination for foreign investors, with many advantages to receive the capital market flow of multinational corporations.

Therefore, improving the ability of Vietnamese enterprises to participate deeply in the global supply chain is urgent in order to turn Vietnam into one of the world’s leading manufacturing factories.

Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San and Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Duy Dong witness the signing of a cooperation agreement between the National Innovation Center and the Military Enterprise Association.

In order to continue to develop sustainably and meet the competition and international integration requirements as well as all military and defense task requirements, each military enterprise needs to focus on investment resources so as to improve innovation capacity, digital transformation, and the application of science and technology and advanced and modern production techniques, he added.

The deputy defense minister also requested affiliated units of the Ministry of National Defense (MND), such as the General Department of Defense Industry, the Department of Economic Affairs, the Department of Military Science, and Military Enterprise Association, to make recommendations to MND’s leaders so as to effectively direct and implement innovation and digital transformation in production and economic development progress in the whole military, especially in production and business activities of military enterprises.
