According to the report from the Department of Economy under the Ministry of National Defense at the working session, there are currently five military corporations involved in the implementation of various national important projects. They are Truong Son Corporation, Corporation 319, Airport Construction Corporation (ACC), Lung Lo Corporation, and Thanh An Corporation. These enterprises are executing contracts related to the construction of several component sections of the East North-South Expressway Project during the 2017-2020 and 2021-2025 phases, Long Thanh International Airport Project, the Ring Road No.3 project in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ring Road No.4 in the Hanoi Capital Region, and other highway projects, with a total contract value of VND 35,020 billion.
In recent times, these enterprises have concentrated efforts to mobilize all resources to organize and deploy projects to ensure quality and meet the deadlines. During the lunar New Year 2024, they kept working continuously in accordance with the requirements of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Transport.
As of the end of February 2024, the value of the implemented projects reached VND 8,823 billion, the value of A+B bidding acceptance projects reached VND 7,302 billion, and the paid value was nearly VND 7,000 billion.
At the working session, representatives of the leadership of these enterprises reported on the progress of the implementation of their contracts and projects. They highlighted the challenges faced during the execution, such as the capital, the site clearance, shortages of materials, and some inappropriate construction standards.
Speaking at the event, Sr. Lt. Gen. Vu Hai San commended the military corporations for their efforts in overcoming difficulties and implementing contracts on schedule. He emphasized that these projects’ implementation should be considered a central political task. The enterprises must raise their determination, overcome difficulties, organize construction scientifically, ensure quality, and adhere to project schedules. Furthermore, they need to proactively coordinate with investors and localities to resolve difficulties and obstacles related to site clearance and material sourcing.
Gen. San hoped for solidarity among enterprises, mutual support in supplying machinery, equipment, and human resources to successfully accomplish the tasks. He urged them to care for the living conditions of laborers, effectively address their problems, and pay attention to carrying out payment procedures in accordance with legal regulations.
