VJA delegation visits place where Thanh Nien Newspaper was founded
PANO - A delegation of the Vietnam Journalist’s Association (VJA) visited the place where President Ho Chi Minh founded Thanh Nien Newspaper in 1925 in Guangzhou city, Guangdong province, China on June 11.
The delegation was led by Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper and VJA President.

The historical site, located at No.13 (now 248-250) Wen Ming Street, Guangzhou City, is the place where Nguyen Ai Quoc lived, worked and organized training courses for Vietnamese revolutionary cadres in the 1924-1927 period. This location was also the headquarters of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Youth League. At the place, President Ho Chi Minh wrote, printed, and published the Thanh Nien Newspaper. Its first official publication represented the voice of the Vietnamese revolution.

The visit was an opportunity for today’s revolutionary journalists to pay gratitude to the roots and heighten their responsibility in preserving and promoting Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style in journalism activities. The delegation reaffirmed the spirit of the tradition "When drinking water, remember its source” and the determination to further uphold the tradition of revolutionary journalism in the new situation.
On the same day, the delegation offered incense and flowers in tribute to martyr Pham Hong Thai at the Huanghuagang Park, Guangzhou City.
