The event was jointly organized by the Vietnam Film Development Association, the Da Nang municipal People’s Committee and relevant units. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Chairman of the Central Theory Council, chaired the event.

In his speech, Prof., Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang highlighted the DANAFF III as a significant cultural event that further demonstrates Vietnam’s strong commitment to respecting cultural diversity, developing cultural industries, and enhancing cinematic cooperation in the region and the world.

He stressed that the annual festival is becoming increasingly professional and distinctive. This year’s edition is especially meaningful as Vietnam marks major milestones, including the 50th anniversary of the national reunification and the 80th anniversary of its foundation.

Attentively, the festival will include a series of attractive events, including the “Half a century of Vietnamese war films” program, showcasing 22 notable films that capture the Vietnamese people's enduring aspiration for independence and peace.

An overview of the event

Running from June 29 to July 5 under the theme “DANAFF – Bridging Asia,” the festival aims to honor outstanding cinematic works with rich humanistic value, fresh perspectives, and unique artistic expression. It also seeks to connect and nurture emerging talents in Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific region; foster the sustainable development of young filmmakers; and promote Da Nang as a regional hub of creativity, culture, and world-class tourism.
