Pham Thi Anh, daughter of martyr and Hero of the People’s Armed Forces Pham Noi, said, “Although the war has long ended, the sacrifices of previous generations remain an irreplaceable loss. Their sacrifices are a source of pride, gratitude, and a guiding flame of tradition in my life. Standing before this spacious and dignified park and memorial, I feel comforted and grateful. From now on, those who sacrificed their lives for the people and the country will have a new place where future generations can remember and honor them.”

Construction of the park began on October 21, 2025, with an investment of more than VND 26 billion from the city budget. Covering 8,965 square meters at the foot of Tho Son Mountain within the Ngu Hanh Son Special National Scenic Site, the complex includes a memorial and incense-offering area, a stele honoring 2,081 fallen soldiers and 601 heroic Vietnamese mothers, a bell tower, and other facilities. Beyond providing a place for families, comrades, and the public to pay tribute, the park helps preserve the historical and revolutionary traditions of Ngu Hanh Son.

Mai Thi Anh Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People’s Council of Ngu Hanh Son ward, said the park would serve as a “red address” where generations could honor fallen heroes, heroic Vietnamese mothers, and predecessors who had made contribution to their homeland.

She added that the ward would ensure the park was properly managed, protected, maintained, and preserved so that it remained a clean and solemn place for residents and visitors. The local authorities would also promote its role as a destination for education about local revolutionary history, traditions, and culture.

During the resistance wars against the French colonialists and U.S. imperialists, the people and armed forces of Ngu Hanh Son ward persevered through immense hardship, loss, and sacrifice under the steadfast motto, “Not moving an inch, not leaving a second.” From the Man Quang historical site and Bo Quan Dam to Dung Mountain, Ngu Hanh Son, Nuoc Man Airport, and the historic K20 base, each location and military achievement has contributed to the area’s proud tradition of resilience and resistance.

Veteran revolutionaries and heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, such as Mai Dang Chon, Pham Noi, Tran Van Hai, Le Duc Nhum, and Phan Hanh Son, are sources of local pride, alongside countless cadres, soldiers, and civilians who fought and died for their homeland and country.

To preserve the achievements of previous generations, Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, called on the Party organization, authorities, and residents of Ngu Hanh Son ward to continue supporting policy families and people with meritorious service to the country. She also urged them to educate future generations about the homeland’s revolutionary traditions and develop long-term plans to preserve and promote the park’s historical, cultural, and traditional values.

She emphasized that the names of local places and people should continue to inspire future generations and become valuable historical, revolutionary, and cultural heritage of Ngu Hanh Son ward and Da Nang as a whole.

Alongside preserving the memorial park, Ngu Hanh Son ward plans to explore ways to connect it with the area's network of historical sites and scenic attractions, creating an integrated heritage space that brings together history, culture, spirituality, and traditional education, further enhancing the value of Ngu Hanh Son.
