The information was announced at a press conference jointly held by the People’s Army Newspaper, the Army Youth Board, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Guard Command and the Military Broadcasting Center on August 23 in Hanoi.

According to Major General Pham Van Huan, Editor-in-Chief of the People’s Army Newspaper, the seminar, themed “Loyal to President Ho Chi Minh,” will start on the morning of August 30 at the conference hall of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Guard Command. It will be an opportunity for all of the youth in the military to show their boundless respect for President Ho Chi Minh, a genius leader, a hero and cultural celebrity who devoted his entire life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and nation for happiness of the Vietnamese people.

The seminar will attract the participation of scholars, generals, experts, scientists, managers and leaders of civilian and military agencies and units. Memoirs delivered at the event will clarify the contents in the testament and present the responsibility to creatively and effectively realize what are in the valuable document. 

Through the reports, young generations will learn more about the great values of his thoughts, morals and lifestyle. The event is also to review the outcomes and shortcomings in the implementation of Uncle Ho’s testament over the past half a century so as to have plans to creatively apply his teachings to the national construction and defense cause. Delegates will also look back on the 50 years of the preservation of President Ho Chi Minh’s embalmed body.

On the same day, a well-prepared art program will take place at the Military Broadcasting Center with the participation of famous singers and artists. Documentaries and an exchange with historical witnesses will show the Party’, Vietnamese people’s and whole military’s responsibility for preserving President Ho Chi Minh’s embalmed body and resolves to carry out his testament and successfully build socialism in Vietnam.

The program will be broadcast live on the National Defense channel and the Voice of Vietnam channel.
