The 6th four-day National Karate Tournament has been opened on September 6th in the Central province of Quang Nam with the participation of 265 male and female athletes, including outstanding ones.

The National Bicycle Race has also been held in the northern Province of Hoa Binh. Dang Trung Hieu from Can Tho Province won first prize for men’s racing, while Nguyen Thi That from An Giang Province won the gold medal for the women’s event.

On September 5th, the five-day ASEAN Women Volleyball Championship for the  VNPT Cup kicked off at the Bac Ninh Provincial Sporting Hall on September 5th.

Four teams from Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam will compete in the event.

At the first matches, with the attendance of 4,000 spectators, Thailand and Vietnam were winners over their opponents Indonesia and Malaysia, respectively.
