PANO – The “Thep noi nguc lua” (Unyielding iron in the inferno) exhibition opened on July 4 at the Hoa Lo Prison relic to celebrate the 70 years of Vietnam Day for Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 – 2017)

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Hanoi municipal Department of Culture and Sports Truong Minh Tien said that the displayed documents, exhibits, and photos would help visitors learn more about the glorious history of the nation and those who dedicated their lives to the national liberation cause, so as to raise the responsibility among people for preserving and promoting the nation’s glorious tradition.
250 images and exhibits arranged in three themes, namely “Gratitude,” “Desire for freedom,” and “Unyielding iron in the inferno”, demonstrate the aspiration for independence of the nation, articulated in Ho Chi Minh’s saying “Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom.”
On the occasion, a “Gratitude to political prisoners” fund was established to support needyveteran revolutionaries in a hope that the support could help them have a better life.
The exhibition will run until September 30.
