Forty-seven years ago, Vietnamese Southern hub Saigon - Gia Dinh was officially named after President Ho Chi Minh on July 2, 1976. In the construction and development cause, the city has promoted its heroic tradition, activeness, and creativeness to make positive changes, continuing to hold its leading position.
The artistic program, themed “Shining city,” was divided into three chapters, namely “City in the dawn,” “Colors of my beloved city,” and “The shining city named after President Ho Chi Minh.”
At the event, delegates were entertained with songs and dances, a play, and reformed theater performances about Ho Chi Minh City and the life of people in the Southern hub.

Performances at the event helped participants have deeper insight into difficulties and challenges confronting the city during its development. The city gathers cultural quintessence and talents who are enthusiastic and ready to contribute to building the city.
Thanks to its diversity which has been built based on its unique identity, dynamism, and creativeness, Ho Chi Minh City continues to develop and deeply integrates into the region and the world.
In the new development period, the Party organization, authorities, and people of the city are doing their utmost to obtain more achievements, deserving to be named after beloved Uncle Ho.
