The exhibits feature unique silk collages crafted by disabled Vun Art artisans from Van Phuc silk scraps, adapted from snake-themed paintings for the Year of the Snake 2025 by renowned painters Le Huy Van, Le Thiet Cuong, and Nguyen Van Truong, blending traditional artistry with modern creativity.

The exhibition honors painters and celebrities who have supported people with disabilities while showcasing the creativity, talent, and resilience of these unique artisans. From silk scraps, they have created meaningful artworks that convey empathy and hope.

At the opening, painter Le Viet Cuong, Vun Art’s founder, expressed hope that the exhibition would spread a message: With faith and steadfast support, people with disabilities can transform their lives, much like turning discarded silk scraps into art.

The opening featured highlights like an “ao dai” (Vietnamese traditional long dress) fashion show with silk-scrap patterns inspired by the snake-themed artworks, alongside interactions between the artists and disabled artisans.

The event is running from March 12 to 31 at Van Phuc Silk Street, Ha Dong ward, Hanoi.
