The second international martial arts Hong Bang University festival was held in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province on August 7-8, attracting 1,000 athletes from 70 delegations of 31 countries and territories worldwide.

Apart from martial arts performances, there were many other activities, including a beauty contest to honour girls studying martial arts, a seminar on Vietnamese and international martial arts.

The first team prize went to the delegation from An Giang province and the second to the Hong Bang University team.

In the women’s event, the first prize was given to Helen Tran from France and the second to Mai Trinh from An Giang.

Meanwhile, in the men’s event, Le Quoc Nguyen Giap from An Giang province ranked first, and next was Nguyen Minh Tam from Hong Bang University.

Athlete Courotina from Russia was crowned the queen of the martial arts beauty contest.
