PANO – An exhibition titled “Vietnam’s Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelagoes - Historical and Legal Evidence” is taking place in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province, from September 9th and 13th.

The 5-day event, co-organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Lam Dong provincial People's Committee, introduces local visitors to nearly 100 maps and many historical objects and administrative documents to affirm Vietnamese sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa Islands.

Especially, for the first time some wood-block documents, found by the National Archive Centre IV in Da Lat city, dating back to the Nguyen Dynasty and confirming the national sovereignty of Vietnam over the two islands, are on display.

According to the centre, it is preserving about 35,000 Nguyen Dynasty wood-blocks. Among them, 17 were clarified as recording the Nguyen Dynasty’s exercise of sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.
