PANO – Da Lat City in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong is home to many tourist destinations, such as the Valley of Love, Da Lat Railway Station and Linh Phuoc pagoda.

Da Lat Railway Station built in the first decades of the 20th century by the French is the “highest” station in Vietnam located at the height of 1,500m above the sea level. Together with Hai Phong station, Da Lat railway station is also the oldest one in Vietnam.

The Domaine De Marie (Dominion of Marie or Mai Anh) Church is located on a hill with cherry-blossoms, about 1km to the southwest from the city centre. It has the harmonious combination between Western-style architecture with folk architecture of the long house of local ethnic minority groups in the Central Highlands. The church’s typical feature is that it has no bell tower and the lightening system is the elegant stained glass windows and the 3m-high-statue of Mary standing on a globe, designed by a French architect in a form of a Vietnamese woman.

The Valley of Love  about 6km away from the City centre  includes many romantic sites like a beautiful flower garden, tranquil Da Thien Lake and an outdoor area where, tourists can enjoy the dreamlike Lang Biang Mount.
The XQ Silk Hand Embroidery, the handmade works on the typical culture of Vietnam are a good choice both for domestic and international visitors to the city.

The Bao Dai’s Summer Palace (also known as Palace III) is a must-visit villa for travelers. The palace, built in 1933 under the dynasty of King Bao Dai, the last king of Vietnam, was designed in the art deco style amidst  the pine forest. Travelers have chance to discover the life-style of the royal family through 25 rooms and its amenities.

At Linh Phuoc pagoda in 120 Tu Phuoc – Ward 11, about 8km northeast of the city center, visitors can admire the 49-meter-long winding glaze dragon standing near the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni, and the 37m-high bell tower, the highest one in Vietnam, and the 17m-high statue of Quan The Am Bodhisattva made from 650,000 immortal flowers, a typical kind of flower in the city.
The Truc Lam Zen Monastery is among  the three most famous ones of Vietnam, about 5km from the centre of Da Lat City. It lies within a protected forest of 23.2ha, of which 2ha is the building area.
Langbiang Mount, 12km from Da Lat City to the North, with the height of 2,167m above the sea level has not only been an attractive tourist site but also the legend about a passionate love. At the peak of the mount you can enjoy the beautiful floral carpets at different height and view the immense picturesque beauty of the nature without any hinderance.
Datanla Waterfall, 5 km from the downtown of Da Lat City, covers an area of 312ha amidst the preservation forests. In recent years, Datanla tourist site has exploited some new adventure activities for visitors such as cliff climbing, forest discovery and going along the stream to reach Prenn pass.
The Da Lat Marketin the city centre, sells an array of local products like vegetables, artichoke blooms, flowers, strawberry, jam and woolen products. Interestingly there, visitors can taste local cuisine at low prices.
