Vietnam Airlines to increase seats to serve Vietnamese football fans
PANO - The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced that it will increase seats on flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam to Shanghai, China to serve fans of the Vietnamese football team at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U23 Championship.

Furthermore, the Vietnam Airlines will work with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Shanghai to carry Vietnamese spectators for free from Pudong International Airport in Shanghai to Changzhou Olympic Sports Center where the semi-final match between Vietnam and Qatar takes place on January 23. After the match, Vietnam Airlines’ buses will also carry fans to Shanghai.
At present, the Vietnam Airlines operates one flight daily between Hanoi/Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City/Shanghai using the convenient and spacious Airbus A350-900XWB that meets international standards for service quality of a 4-star plane.
