Troubled fisherman saved
PANO - A fisherman aboard trawler KH 07714-TS suffering from a critical health condition has been saved on time by the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (Vietnam MRCC) and ship SAR27-01.

The Vietnam MRCC was informed at 9:15 am on June 11, that Nguyen Thanh Hung, a fisherman aboard trawler KH 07714-TS suffered a serious injury and his right foot was bleeding profusely. He was breathing with difficulty and needed emergency aid.
The center contacted the trawler and directed other onboard fishermen to give first aid to the wounded fisherman. It then tasked ship SAR27-01 which was on standby at Nha Trang wharf for a rescue mission.
Approaching the trawler, the medical team on ship SAR27-01 gave emergency aid to the patient. At 2:30 pm the same day, the patient was taken to Nha Trang city for further treatment.
