Transerco will replace all diesel-powered vehicles with 31 electric buses on three routes.

Alongside this vehicle transition, Transerco will formally recalibrate the operating schedule of route No.100 to align seamlessly with the technical operational characteristics of electric buses, better matching the daily travel patterns and service expectations of local commuters across the corridor.

Each newly deployed bus provides a comfortable carrying capacity of 60 passengers, distinguished by an attractive green livery and uniform exterior styling consistent with the established Hanoibus corporate identity. The bus exteriors prominently display the symbolic peace dove alongside Khue Van Cac (the Pavilion of the Constellation of Literature) situated at Van Mieu, effectively highlighting the thousand-year cultural heritage of Ha Noi while promoting the capital's vision of a clean, civilized, highly accessible, and environmentally friendly urban public transit network.

In addition to their modern visual design, the vehicles incorporate convenient low-floor platforms, dedicated boarding facilities and seating areas tailored specifically for passengers with disabilities, and contemporary passenger amenities, making public transit much more comfortable and accessible while steadily lifting overall transport service standards on these vital city routes.

According to Transerco leadership, replacing aging diesel buses with 31 advanced electric vehicles on routes No.03B, 28, and 100 represents an important milestone in the municipal corporation’s long-term roadmap to modernize its public fleet, substantially lower vehicle emissions, and foster clean public transport development in Ha Noi.

Earlier on November 1, Transerco completed the full conversion of bus route No. 40 operating between Thong Nhat Park and Van Lam in Hung Yen province, taking delivery of 15 domestically produced VinFast EB8 electric buses manufactured in 2026, each engineered with a capacity of 60 passengers, completely phasing out all traditional combustion-engine buses previously serving that route.

Transerco reported that by the end of October 2026, it had introduced a cumulative total of 375 electric buses into regular commercial operation across 24 bus routes throughout the capital network. Of these, 281 green vehicles had already been deployed across 17 routes during the first six months of the year, followed by another 94 clean buses commissioned across seven additional routes during the month of October.

Looking toward future benchmarks, the corporation remains committed to raising the overall share of environmentally friendly public transit vehicles in its operational fleet to well over 51% by late 2026, surpassing the target set by municipal authorities and contributing to developing a modern, civilized, and truly sustainable urban transportation network for the capital city.
