PANO - The Red Cross Society of Ho Chi Minh City and On Lang Club-house (On Lang Pagoda - District 5), from January 23rd to January 27th 2015, will present 1,800 gifts to policy beneficiaries, needy households, disadvantaged children, and victims of Agent Orange in the city. This is part of the campaign to prepare a cozy “lunar new year for the poor and victims of Agent Orange” launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society with the total budget of over VND 400 million.

According to Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society, over the past 10 years, since the proposal of District 5’s Red Cross Society, the administration board of On Lang Club-house has been committed to supporting 97 lonesome elderly with the monthly allowance of VND 500,000 each and 10 kg of rice and one pack of instant noodle on each public holiday. Since 1999, the club-house has been closely coordinating with the Red Cross Society of Ho Chi Minh City to present gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor households and victims of Agent Orange with the hope to bring the cozy new year to the recipients.
