A wide range of meaningful activities were carried out, including offering incense in tribute to fallen heroes; presenting more than 600 gifts to policy families and poor households; awarding 50 bicycles to underprivileged students with strong academic performance; and providing funding to build five “Military-civilian sentiment houses.” Nearly 1,000 banh chung (square glutinous rice cake) and banh tet (cylinder glutinous rice cake) were prepared, while free medical check-ups and medicines were provided for disadvantaged residents and policy beneficiaries.

* On February 10, Brigade 573 under Military Region 5 hosted the festival, titled “Military Region 5’s spring of solidarity – Tet filled with military-civilian affection.” The event featured cultural exchanges, legal education activities, and a banh chung making contest. The brigade also presented 30 gifts worth VND 500,000 each to service members facing hardship and 50 gifts, worth VND 1 million each, to policy families and households affected by natural disasters.

The same day, the Lang Son Provincial Labor Federation, working with the People’s Committee of Khanh Khe commune, delivered 80 gifts valued at VND 500,000 each to policy families and disadvantaged households affected by natural disasters.

In Van Thang commune, Khanh Hoa province, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the local Red Cross Society organized the program, “Compassionate Tet for flood-affected residents – Spring Binh Ngo 2026,” presenting 150 gifts, totaling VND 75 million, to households impacted by flooding in late November 2025, helping them welcome a safe and joyful Lunar New Year.
