Martyr Ly Tu Trong re-buried in the home town

The service was held on May 5th at Ly Tu Trong Memorial Site, Viet Xuyen Commune, Thach Ha District, Ha Tinh Province.
A reception ceremony for the remains of martyr Ly Tu Trong solemnly took place at Vinh Airport, Nghe An Province on April 30th. Since then, hundreds of local people and delegations came to the Memorial Site to pay tribute to him.
The set of remains was found in District 10, Ho Chi Minh City after 80 years of his brave death.
Ly Tu Trong, named Le Huu Trong at birth, was born in 1914 in May village, Na Khon Phanom Province, Thailand. His home town was in Viet Xuyen Commune, Thach Ha District.
He was among first Youth Union members directly trained by Uncle Ho in China. In 1929, he returned to Vietnam and joined revolutionary activities in Sai Gon-Gia Dinh.
Trong was arrested by the enemies and executed on November 21st, 1931 in Sai Gon, now Ho Chi Minh City when he was only 17 years old.
Trong had turned the imperial court into a forum to fight for justice, independence and freedom of his home country of, Vietnam. His immortal statement is that “No way but revolutionary road is what youth should follow”.
