Lao Cai accomplishes substandard house eradication target
A ceremony was held in Lao Cai province on June 19 to mark the northern mountainous province’s completion of its goal to eliminate all temporary and dilapidated houses, part of a nationwide campaign launched by the Prime Minister.
With strong support from local authorities, businesses, organizations, and residents, the province has successfully built or repaired 10,707 homes for disadvantaged households, including war veterans, families of martyrs, ethnic minority people, and low-income residents. The effort mobilized nearly 1.09 trillion VND (41 million USD) and over 19,500 volunteer workdays.
