The event ran in Indonesia from October 27 to 30.

Accordingly, the young mathematicians from the capital city of Hanoi obtained seven gold, 16 silver, 20 bronze, and five consolation medals in the individual category. Meanwhile their teamwork brought in one champion honor, four fist and four silver prizes. 

The achievement was the highest recorded among participating countries at the competition.

Challenge for Future Mathematicians is an international contest for students from grade 3 to 8. Since 2014, it has annually been held in alternating countries.

Last year, Vietnam won three gold, 11 silver and 24 bronze medals at the event.
