Hanoi receives supports for COVID-19 prevention and control
PANO - Hanoi received support for COVID-19 prevention and control from several individuals, groups and localities on August 19.
Accordingly, the city’s chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front received 80 tons of vegetables from Son La provincial authorities, 10 tons of rice, 1,000 boxes of instant noodle, 1,000 bottles of cooking oil, 1,000 bottles of fish sauce from monks of Vinh Nghiem Pagoda and Huong Sen Ashram and sponsors; one ton of rice from Xuan Thuy Elite Swimming Club, and more.
In addition, the city’s chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front also handed over 70 ventilators and nine ambulances, gifts of Sovico Group and HD Bank to the city’s Department of Health.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, President of Hanoi city’s chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Lan Huong recognized contribution of groups and individuals to the city’s COVID-19 fight.
She hoped to continue receiving donations from sponsors, organizations and agencies to support pandemic-hit people in the city and encourage the city’s forces in the COVID-19 prevention and control front.
