In his speech, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that 76 years ago, on June 11, 1948, President Ho Chi Minh issued an appeal for patriotic emulation in the whole Party, people and military. The creativeness in the implementation of the emulation movement has boosted combined strength of the authority at all levels, sectors, organs and local citizens, which has significantly contributed to achieving and exceeding socio-economic set goals.

The Prime Minister expressed his belief that Hanoi would continue to uphold its heroic traditions, effectively exploit its potential and advantages, and seize opportunities. He emphasized the importance of mobilizing combined strength, particularly the efforts of officials, party members, and citizens to build a “cultural, civilized, and modern” capital, deserving the expectation of the Party, State, and people.

The Prime Minister highlighted that honoring outstanding individuals and recognizing the “Outstanding citizens of the Capital” for 2024 was particularly significant, especially on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day. This award not only praised those who have made remarkable contributions across various fields but also inspired others to follow.
