Hien also asked the local authorities to make further preparations for unexpected weather developments in the coming time, especially in such key and geographically disadvantaged   areas as Tram Tau, Van Chan and Mu Cang Chai districts. He also called on the locals to heighten their vigilance and to find shelters immediately after receiving forecasts of coming storms or floods.

Hien suggested the local leadership re-plan population to avoid locals living near highly risky places of rivers or springs.

He also promised to report to the National Assembly and the Government to assist Yen Bai province in general and Mu Cang Chai district in particular in surmounting flooding consequences, so that locals could resume their daily lives and production soon.
