MONRE’s mission presents gifts to people in flood-hit areas
PANO – A mission from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), led by its minister Tran Hong Ha inquired after and presented gifts to people in flood-hit areas in Mu Cang Chai, Northern province of Yen Bai on August 6.

Ha handed over 200 bunk beds, 30 computers and a projector to Vo Thi Sau Secondary School, which was heavily affected by recent flash floods. These gifts came from the ministry’s officials.
Earlier, the mission handed over VND 600 million Yen Bai to assist the province in dealing with environmental problems after the floods.
On behalf of the ministry’s officials, Ha expressed deep sympathy with people who suffered losses. He said that in the long-term, the province should draw up plans to ensure safety for people and help them develop domestic economy. Specialized agencies were requested to review their management work and suggest measures to prevent and cope with disasters in the coming time.
