Held from May 28 at the Bac Giang provincial Museum, the event was to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day, the 20th anniversary of the foundation day of the Bac Giang provincial Association for Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims, and the 64th commemoration of the Agent Orange Disaster in Vietnam (August 10, 1961 – 2025).

At this year’s event, the exhibition showcased nearly 400 photos, documents, and artifacts, leaving a strong impression and having a positive impact on visitors.
According to the organizers, during one month, the exhibition attracted more than 3,000 visitors. This outcome demonstrates officials, Party members, VAVA members, AO victims, the public, and officers and soldiers’ care about AO/dioxin disaster in Vietnam and the ongoing consequence settlement efforts.
Reportedly, Bac Giang is among the provinces with a large number of AO victims.
The organizers and chapters of the provincial Association for Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims have mobilized resources and donations to build and repair homes, support livelihoods, and present gifts to AO victims and their families in the province, helping ease their pain. The total cost for the activities was estimated at VND 1.2 billion.
Speaking at the event, Permanent Vice President of VAVA Major General Do Hong Lam expressed sincere thanks for the direction and support from Bac Giang provincial authorities, Military Region 1, Army Corps 12, the Chemical Corps, and the National Action Center for Toxic Chemicals and Environmental Treatment (NACCET), as well as the close cooperation of local departments and agencies. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the many agencies, organizations, businesses, and benefactors who had offered generous and practical assistance to victims of AO.

At the event, the President of VAVA awarded certificates of merit to 12 collectives and 20 individuals in recognition of their active contribution to organizing the event.
