Activities held to mark General Vo Nguyen Giap’s death anniversary

Veterans and youths in Le Thuy district paying tribute to General Vo Nguyen Giap

Veterans in the Central province of Quang Binh laid flowers and offered incense at General Vo Nguyen Giap’s grave in Vung Chua - Dao Yen in Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district and at General Vo Nguyen Giap Commemorative House in An Xa hamlet, Loc Thuy commune, Le Thuy district.

In addition, war veterans’ associations at all levels in the province have held talks at schools to educate young people about virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, the life and revolutionary career of General Vo Nguyen Giap, the tradition of Quang Binh province.

On the occasion, the Veterans’ Association of Quang Binh presented ten scholarships, worth VND 1 million each, to needy local students with good academic results.

These activities aimed to educate young people about revolutionary traditions and patriotism and great contributions of General Vo Nguyen Giap to the struggle for national independence, reunification, construction, and defense cause.
