In order to share difficulties with workers, the Vietnam Labor Federation asked trade unions at all levels to ensure wages, bonuses, and Tet gifts for employees. Trade unions strive to take care of about 1 million employees, especially female workers who are pregnant and have children.

According to the Thai Binh provincial Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, the province has mobilized resources to take care of national contributors, needy families, those under social protection, and needy children on the occasion of the lunar New Year. So far, Thai Binh has presented more than 341,000 gifts to revolutionary contributors and their families, poor households, needy families, workers, those under social protection, and children.
The Trade Union of the Ministry of National Defense has actively built plan and guidance on organizing New Year activities for trade union members in the whole military.
The Trade Union of the Ministry of National Defense has visited and presented gifts to its affiliate unions and 6,291 trade union members, needy workers, and those with fatal diseases with the total cost of VND 3.9 billion.
In addition, trade unions of units have visited and given gifts to 175 their affiliates and 32,370 members, needy workers, and those with fatal diseases with the total cost VND 25,8 billion.
On January 17, the Political Department of Military Region 1 and the Lang Son provincial Military Command organized a New Year program with a series of activities. The event aimed to consolidate solidarity between troops and locals.
On the occasion, the organizing panel and Military Youth Advisory Board handed over 50 gift packages, worth VND 80 million to policy families, needy students with good academic records, Youth Union members, and needy women.
On the day, Vinh Long’s Red Cross Society organized the “Humanitarian Market” program for poor and near poor families in Tam Binh district. At the event, 300 households received gifts, worth VND 350,000 each.
The Red Cross Society chapters at all levels of Vinh Long province have mobilized more than 17,000 gift packages to the poor, those in difficult situation, and the vulnerable.
Recently, Can Tho City visited and presented Tet gifts to those with great contribution to the revolution, needy households, and vulnerable people with the total cost of nearly VND 64 billion.
In addition to gifts, the city organized many events in support of local people, including New Year programs in localities, house handover to poor households and policy families, presentation of bicycles and scholarships to poor students, and building of rural roads and bridges.
