Tuyen Quang urged to uphold values of historical relics
PANO – The Tuyen Quang provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Committee
of Vietnam Fatherland Front held a solemn ceremony on March 31 to mark the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s return to Tuyen Quang to lead the national resistance war on April 2, 1947.
The event was attended by President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Nguyen Xuan Thang and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien.
At the event, Secretary of the Tuyen Quang provincial Party Committee Chau Van Lam recalled that after the national resistance war broke out, President Ho Chi Minh decided to return to Tan Trao in Tuyen Quang province to lead the resistance war. During six years in Tuyen Quang, President Ho Chi Minh chaired many important conferences on Party, political system, authorities, and military building; socio-economic and cultural development; the promotion of diplomatic activities; the establishment of the Solidarity Front for People of three Indochina countries. The great leader also completed many famous works, including “Diligence, Thrift, Integrity, Righteousness” and “Mass Mobilization.” President Ho Chi Minh’s thought and the sound guidelines of the Party mobilized the synergy of the whole people, contributing to the success of the resistance war.

Speaking at the event, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Nguyen Xuan Thang acknowledged and praised the provincial Party Organization, authorities and people for their excellent achievements over the past years.
The official strongly believed that with rich revolution traditions and obtained achievements, the northern locality will overcome all difficulties and successfully carry out the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the provincial Party Organization. He asked the Party organizations and people of ethnic minority groups in Tuyen Quang to continue preserving and upholding the values of Tan Trao special National Relic, which is not only a historical place to educate traditions for Party members and locals but also a top cultural and historical tourism destination for both domestic and international tourists.

Amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, Thang urged the province to apply suitable and flexible measures to both protecting people’s health and promoting local socio-economic development. He urged the province to focus on mobilizing and effectively using investment resources for socio-economic infrastructure building, strengthening agro-forestry sector, promoting the progress of industrial projects, and developing tourism and services, thus raising people’s living standards.
Together with preserving and promoting the cultural traditions of ethnic minority groups, the President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics requested the province to pay attention to strengthening education and training, healthcare for people, and defense consolidation.
