The event also saw the presence of Mr. Vo Van Thuong, Member of the Politburo, Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat and Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information and Education, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh Dr. Assoc. Prof., Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, Mr. Pham Chi Thanh, Acting Editor-in-Chief of the “Su That” National Political Publishing House, as well as some 2,500 delegates from other ministries, Central-level agencies, under-MPS agencies, and police departments of the 63 provinces and municipalities across the country.
At the seminar, delegates discussed and exchanged views related to the topics: “Cadres and Party members’ responsibility for setting examples as a key leadership method of the Vietnam Communist Party”, “Responsibility of cadres and Party members in the People’s Public Security Forces for setting examples at work”, and “Promoting the responsibility of cadres and Party members in the Public Security Forces in setting examples in the new situation”.

To conclude the seminar, Minister To Lam asked the Public Security Department of Science, Strategy and History to coordinate with the “Su That” National Political Publishing House and other functional units to summarize the ideas and opinions given by the delegates at the seminar and submit the report to the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the MPS for consideration.
Minister To Lam also affirmed that the MPS will strictly handle any public security officers and Party members who violate the laws or working ethics.
He asked all public security units and agencies, in coordination with the press and media to popularize public security officers with good merits and excellent achievements at work, especially those with victories in fighting crimes.
