The memorial service for former Party General Secretary Do Muoi began at 9:00am on October 7 at the National Funeral Hall, No.5 Tran Thanh Tong street, Hanoi.

A respect-paying ceremony took place earlier in the day and the previous day.
The burial ceremony will take place from 1:00pm on the same day in his native land in Dong My commune, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi.
Former Party chief Do Muoi passed away at 23:12 on October 1 in Hanoi at the age of 101 due to serious illness.
