PANO - An event to raise awareness on the environment and preservation of biodiversity in forest ecosystems was organised in Bach Ma National Park, Thua Thien Hue Province on November 27th, by the Bach Ma National Park (NP) in cooperation with the Goethe-Institute Hanoi and the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

The event is to raise awareness about nature conservation among members of nature conservation club and to share experiences within existing clubs among teachers and the park staff. Participants, including students and teachers could learn more about biodiversity conservation; U8i7 issues like forest and climate change. Among 5 films screened at the event, one is on the beauty and rich biodiversity of Bach Ma national park.

These films were selected from 19 films screened at the Science Film Festival initiated by Goethe-Institute to introduce technological and scientific issues to viewers. The film festival also encourages more films that effectively combine education and entertainment to entertain a broader audience.

The film festival took place in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hue, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City as well as in the Provinces of Dak Lak, Phu Yen, Bac Ninh and Nghe An of Vietnam.
