After that, legislators discussed some debatable issues of this bill. Minister of Public Security To Lam gave explanation to clarify some related issues of deputies' concern.

In the afternoon, they scrutinised the draft law on border defense after Vo Trong Viet, member of the NA Standing Committee and Chairman of the NA’s Committee for Defense and Security, reported on revisions to the draft.

Minister of National Defense Ngo Xuan Lich also provided further details to clear lawmakers' concern.

On October 22, the parliament is set to look into a draft law amending and supplementing some articles of the law on handling administrative violations and the draft law on international agreements.

The NA’s 10th session is scheduled to last for 19 days with online meetings held from October 20 to 27 and face-to-face discussions in Hanoi from November 2 to 17.
