According to a report at the event, in the 2021 to 2024 period, the province’s average Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) reached over 7.7%; in 2024 alone, it attained 9.04%, ranking 12th out of 63 provinces and cities, marking the highest growth rate in the province in the past 10 years. The average GRDP per capita reached 61.5 million VND per year; social welfare was ensured; and the province’s poverty rate decreased to 10.2%.

Meanwhile, the local military and security were strengthened, contributing to enhancing the power of defensive area and local defense posture. The province has closely linked the task of socio-economic development with strengthening defense and security.

In his remarks, General Phan Van Giang applauded the Party Committee, government and people of Tuyen Quang province for their obtained achievements over the past time.

The defense leader sent thanks to the province’s leaders, authorities at all levels and people for supporting and creating favorable conditions for military units stationed in the locality to complete all assigned missions.

He also required the province to continue to prioritize building and enhancing the leadership capacity and combat power of party committees and organizations, and the efficiency of the political system.

The province should continue to implement the resolutions, directives, and guiding documents from the Party and State on military and defense work, while closely attaching the task of socio-economic development and external affairs to strengthening military and security, creating resources to build a stronger defensive area. 

Gen. Giang emphasized that the province should focus on implementing the policy on restructuring the military organizational apparatus to meet the requirements of being "elite, compact, and strong." He also agreed with the province's proposals, including the Ministry of National Defense agreeing to support the province's program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, with a target of 500 houses.
