PANO - A statue of General Vo Nguyen Giap was presented to the memorial house named after the General in An Xa village, Loc Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh Province on September 16th.
The statue is presented bym Major General Nguyen Xuan Sang, former Commander of Army Corps 15 and the corps’ cadres and troops as their token of gratitude to and admiration for General Vo Nguyen Giap’s talent, righteousness, generosity and great contributions to the homeland and the army.
The 75cm tall statue, 115kg in weight, is made of solid brass by Phuong Dung Mechanics Limited Company in Nam Dinh Province.
On behalf of General Vo Nguyen Giap’s family, 70-year-old Vo Dai Ham, the house’s manager, expressed appreciation for the gift and their deep sentiments with General Vo Nguyen Giap, the Eldest Brother of the Vietnam People’s Army and the most outstanding military leader beside President Ho Chi Minh.
