War veterans of no-number ships in HCMC join memorial program
PANO – A meaningful journey was held from September 20 to 25 for war veterans of no-number ships in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).
The delegation, led by Hero of the People's Armed Forces Nguyen Van Duc, Chairman of the HCMC War Veterans’ Association, together with 29 members, went from HCMC to provinces of Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, and Ca Mau, where they visited relic sites in the 1961-1975 period.

The meaningful journey marked the 60th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea and the Foundation Day of Brigade 125 of the Naval Region 2 Command (October 23, 1961-2021) which has been delayed due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the event, the delegation presented 200 gifts, worth VND 600,000 each, to needy students in the localities. The delegation also planted trees at the historical relic site of the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea in Ben Tre province.

The journey was to pay tribute to all fallen soldiers who laid down their lives for the cause of national liberation and unification and protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands. Meanwhile, it also gave the participants an opportunity to recall the heroic traditions of the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea troops.
