Tay Ninh cooperates with Cambodian provinces in searching for martyrs’ remains
PANO - Steering Committee 515 for search, collection, and verification of fallen soldiers’ remains of Tay Ninh province on February 15 organized a ceremony to bid farewell to Team K70 (Department of Politics of Military Region 7) and Team K71 (the Provincial Military Command).
The two teams will perform their tasks in searching and collecting the remains of fallen Vietnamese volunteer soldiers in Cambodia during the 2019-2020 dry season.
In the first phase of the 2019-2020 dry season, the two teams collected and repatriated 114 sets of remains of soldiers who laid down their lives in Cambodia during wartime.
In the second phase, the units will search in the provinces of Siem Reap, Banteay Meanchey, and Oddar Meancheay, Cambodia.
Earlier, the Military Command of Tay Ninh province also signed an agreement to cooperate with Cambodian authorities and armed forces to implement a project on searching and gathering remains of fallen soldiers during the 2019-2020 dry season.
