Requiem and memorial service for heroic martyrs at Vi Xuyen National War Cemetery
PANO - On March 12, at Vi Xuyen National War Cemetery in Ha Giang province, the Mass Mobilization Board of the Ha Giang provincial Party Committee, in coordination with Tam An Charity Foundation, organized a requiem and memorial service for heroic martyrs.
The ceremony was attended by leaders of the Mass Mobilization Board of the Ha Giang provincial Party Committee, members of Tam An Charity Foundation, representatives from the Ba Ria - Vung Tau province’s chapter of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, wounded and sick soldiers, military doctors, and relatives of heroic martyrs.

The program included rituals, such as Buddhist prayers to commemorate the souls of heroic martyrs and to pray for peace and prosperity of the nation. There were also shared stories from those who were directly involved in treating wounded and sick soldiers.

The participants offered incense and flowers at the Monument for Heroic Martyrs and paid tribute to the martyrs at Incense Offering Complex 468 in Thanh Thuy commune, Vi Xuyen district.
Nguyen Thi To Tam, a representative of the Tam An Charity Foundation, stated that the requiem was organized to express gratitude to heroic martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the national liberation cause. It was also an occasion for martyrs’ relatives and participants to commemorate the generations of forefathers who sacrificed their blood and bone for the independence of the nation, she added.
