PM meets with war veterans of Tay Nguyen theater
PANO - On April 24, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met with 60 veterans of the Liaison Board of Army Corps 3, who fought in the Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) theater during the resistance war against American invaders.
The meeting took place on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975), the 54th anniversary of the establishment of the Tay Nguyen Front (May 1, 1964), and the 43rd founding anniversary of Army Corps 3 (March 26, 1975).

At the event, participants expressed their delight at the country’s development and their absolute trust in the leadership of the Party and the Government.
On behalf of the Party and State’s leadership, PM Phuc appreciated the enormous contributions and sacrifice of the soldiers fighting in the Tay Nguyen theater, also known as B3.
He spoke highly of many war veterans who took part in the fight to defend the country in the past and now stand side by side with local authorities in national development, describing them as great examples, enriching their hometowns and also the pride of the Vietnam People’s Army.
The PM suggested the liaison board to increase practical activities to support needy former comrades and continue educating younger generations on the revolutionary tradition and patriotism.
He also asked them to join hands with local authorities in dealing with post-war consequences, searching and repatriating martyr remains, and engaging in social activities.
