Over 100kg bomb safely detonated
PANO – Military engineers of the Dak Lak provincial Military Command, in coordination with Krong Pak district’s Military Command, successfully removed a huge bomb to a safer place for detonation on Oct. 30 in Tan Tien commune.
Earlier, on October 28, Truong Hong Vinh from hamlet No.2, Ea Knuec commune (Krong Pak) detected a large bomb while clearing ground in the area. He then immediately reported to relevant authorities.

After receiving the information, Krong Pak district’s Military Command sent troops and militiamen to the scene, in coordination with the Dak Lak provincial Military Command, to deal with the bomb.
The bomb, 114kg in weight, 25cm in diameter, and 110cm in length was dropped by the US Air Force during the war in Vietnam.
The bomb was then moved to a shooting range of Krong Pak district’s Military Command for detonation.
