MND missions pay tribute to late general
PANO – Delegations from the Ministry of National Defense (MND), led by General Ngo Xuan Lich, Politburo member, Vice Secretary of the Central Military Commission (CMC), Defense Minister and from the General Department of Politics (GDP), led by Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat, permanent member of the CMC, Director of the GDP paid homage to General Nguyen Chi Thanh at his memorial house at 47 Phan Dinh Phung street, Hanoi on July 7.

On behalf of the entire military, Gen. Lich expressed deep respect for Gen. Thanh and gratitude for his great contribution to the nation and military and encouraged his family to continue bringing into play the revolutionary tradition and further contribute to the military and national development in the new revolutionary period.
On behalf of the GDP, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong expressed deep gratitude to the general, an eminent man of the Vietnamese people, an excellent follower of President Ho Chi Minh, a resilient communist, an outstanding Party leader, and a military strategist. Paying tribute to the general on his 50th death anniversary, high-ranking officers of the GDP committed to continuously following his moral example and trying their best to fulfill all assigned missions.
Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong then inquired after the general’s family and believed that all the general's family members will continue to bring into play the general’s example and family’s heroic tradition to further contribute to the revolutionary cause of the Party, State and military.
