Since the national reunification, the Party and State have paid special attention to the search and repatriation of martyrs’ remains. Over the past 50 years, more than one million remains have been collected and solemnly buried. However, over 175,000 remains are still to be found, and nearly 300,000 graves lack identifying information. As time passes and witnesses are becoming fewer, the “500-day campaign to accelerate the search, collection, and identification of martyrs’ remains” was launched as a heartfelt order to race against time to bring fallen heroes home.
The live television bridge featured three chapters: “Those who never pass away,” “Order of the heart - The 500-day campaign,” and “Returning names to the heroes.” It highlighted the campaign’s journey, bridging the past and present through music, memorabilia, and touching reunion stories. During the event, multiple belongings and DNA identification results were handed over to martyrs’ families.

Documentaries depicted the bravery of demining and search teams, along with scientists’ efforts in DNA analysis and document decoding.
A highlight was the appearance of veterans, wounded and sick soldiers, and the historical witnesses’ participation in artistic performance conveying aspirations for peace.
