Five sets of remains of martyrs found in Dak Nong
PANO - The Military Command of Dak Nong province and local authorities searched and gathered five sets of remains of fallen soldiers in village 8, Quang Tan commune, Tuy Duc district on June 2 and 3.
These martyrs were troops of Regiment 271, Division 5, Military Region 7 who sacrificed their lives during the resistance war against American imperialists in late 1973.
Among the found sets of remains, two were identified as of Pham Ngoc Thinh, a native in Bac Ninh province and Nang, a native of Vu Thu district, Thai Binh province.
The local functional agencies have handed over the remains of Pham Ngoc Thinh to his family for reburial in his home town while the armed forces and authorities of Dak R’lap and Tuy Duc districts made preparations for a burial service for the other newly found remains at the War Martyrs’ Cemetery of Dak R’lap district.
