PANO - Quang Ninh province’s Department of Culture and Sports, the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange (AO)/Dioxin (VAVA), and the Chemical Corps jointly held an exhibition themed “Quang Ninh - Joining hands to ease the pain of AO victims” and launch the Action Month for AO victims in 2023 on July 29 in the province.
On display at the exhibition are more than 300 photos, documents, and artifacts featuring the AO/dioxin disaster in Vietnam and Quang Ninh province’s efforts in easing the pain of AO victims.
Through the exhibition, the organizing panel hoped to give troops and people at home and abroad a better understanding of the effects of toxic chemicals/dioxins on the environment and human health; the joint efforts of the Party, State, military, and VAVA, together with agencies, departments, mass organizations and the whole society in the settlement of toxic chemical consequences and support for AO/dioxin victims, to name but a few.
